چکیده

We have reexamined our previously published data to search for evidence of correlations between the rates for the alpha, beta-minus, beta-plus, and electroncapture decays of 22 Na, 44 Ti, 108 Ag m , 121 Sn m , 133 Ba, and 241 Am and the Earth-Sun distance. We find no evidence for such correlations and set limits on the possible amplitudes of such correlations substantially smaller than those observed in previous experiments.

Evidence against solar influence on nuclear decay constants

The hypothesis that proximity to the Sun causes variation of decay constants at permille level has been tested and disproved. Repeated activity measurements of mono-radionuclide sources were performed over periods from 200 days up to four decades at 14 laboratories across the globe. Residuals from the exponential nuclear decay curves were inspected for annual oscillations. Systematic deviations...

Radioactive Decay Caused by Neutrinos?

The result of a long-term experiment is presented and discussed. The experiment aimed at testing the hypothesis that radioactive β-decay might be caused by the omnipresent neutrino flux coming from the sun and other sources, by trying to find a positive correlation between the decay rate of tritium and the annually varying solar neutrino flux, due to the annually changing distance from sun to e...

Experimental Evidence for Physical Reality of Theta Wave by Change in Radionuclide Decay Rates

By analysis performed on two independent experiments on radionuclide decay rates, we inferred the physical reality of de Broglie waves. The unexpected result of a variation of decay rates of 32Si and 226Ra with Earth-Sun inverse squared distance, clearly related with solar neutrino flux, is accounted here as a physical action of de Broglie empty waves. The highly illusive neutrino could not acc...

Comprehensive analysis of nucleocytoplasmic dynamics of mRNA in Drosophila cells

Eukaryotic mRNAs undergo a cycle of transcription, nuclear export, and degradation. A major challenge is to obtain a global, quantitative view of these processes. Here we measured the genome-wide nucleocytoplasmic dynamics of mRNA in Drosophila cells by metabolic labeling in combination with cellular fractionation. By mathematical modeling of these data we determined rates of transcription, exp...

Distance Decay of Similarity in Neotropical Diatom Communities

BACKGROUND The regression of similarity against distance unites several ecological phenomena, and thus provides a highly useful approach for illustrating the spatial turnover across sites. Our aim was to test whether the rates of decay in community similarity differ between diatom growth forms suggested to show different dispersal ability. We hypothesized that the diatom group with lower disper...
